Hello, my name is Simon Gladwin and I am a happily married father of two. I teach for a living and photography is my only other passion outside of my wife, kids and loud rock. I have rekindled my love of luminous snippits of life again after an absence of nearly 20 years.

My love of photography was inspired by my father and grandfather. My grandfather gave me a weird little gizmo that accepted peculiar rolls of black and white film. It went everywhere with me and recorded everything from school trips to france in the late ’70’s to my mates mucking about and playing footie. My dad had an olympus SLR he would never let me touch, I used to look longingly at his camera bag. He did,however, turn our bathroom into a darkroom and when my mum had tupperware parties we would go upstairs and develop photos. He was an industrial chemist by profession and used to make the necessary fluids himself. We would make A3 prints by hanging the paper on the back of the bathroom door! Inspiring stuff for me! I can smell the acetic acid now!

My main interest in photography is landscapes, whether it be rolling countryside or rocks and water. I also dabble in infrared photography and portraiture and sometimes macro photography....and people....and..well...everything! I have graduated from the weird box my grandfather gave me and now use a canon EOS400D with a whole cornucopia of lenses, filters and associated trickery. I indulge in some post-processing.

Stuff is for sale. A loose A4 print will cost you £10, an A3 print will cost you £20. Packing and posting will be £2.50 if you are in the UK, elsewhere in the world will cost a bit more. Anything larger or different i.e. a canvas is available by request and of course packing and posting will be different.  You can pay by PAYPAL using the contact email address below.
